Jason Osaki, President

Jason Osaki has 20 years of transportation planning, traffic engineering and ITS design and deployment experience. His specialties include ITS field device and communications design, systems integration and Transportation Management Center design.

Prior to founding Apex Design, PC, he helped develop the UTAH Winter Olympics transportation management plan. Jason also worked as a consultant to the Florida Turnpike tolling enterprise. For the T-REX project, Jason worked for the consultant-contractor team and was responsible for ITS project components connecting the 17 local agencies within the project limits. He has led ITS designs and deployments, including traffic operations centers, around the country from Arizona, California, and Oregon to the Colorado CTMC. Jason has not only designed ITS systems, but installed them in the field as well. His hands-on experience shows through his well thought out and detail oriented designs.

Jason’s recent design accomplishments include a video management system which will allow Douglas County and the Colorado Transportation Management Center to share and control each agency’s CCTV cameras. He was also involved in a quick turnaround design and deployment of a wireless full-motion video-over-IP system for the I-70 viaduct east of I-25 that is currently operational. These projects are a testament to his breadth of experience and responsiveness.
