Melissa Rosas, P.E.

Melissa brings nine years of multi-disciplinary traffic engineering experience, including operations analysis, traffic planning, signing/striping design, construction phasing design, traffic control plans design, and traffic signal systems design to Apex Design. She has worked on projects at all phases from conceptual studies to construction administration. For design projects, she has prepared plan packages for traffic signals, traffic control, interconnect and signing and striping. For planning projects, she has completed traffic studies, safety studies, Interchange Access Requests, and the traffic requirements for NEPA projects. She has focused her career performing projects for CDOT and local Colorado agencies. As such, she is intimately familiar with local standards, specifications, and construction methods.

Melissa’s recent accomplishments include performing a safety assessment, traffic study and access control plan for the Federal Boulevard Environmental Assessment Project (Alameda Avenue to 6th Avenue). Beyond traffic engineering, she worked with business owners and citizens to convey project goals and help build consensus. Melissa was able to aid in the public involvement effort for this Hispanic community in both English and Spanish.
