Grand Junction CCTV and Signal Interconnect

Apex Design developed the plans, specifications, estimates, and bid documents for a traffic signal interconnect project for the City of Grand Junction. The project encompassed 24 traffic signals and five CCTV cameras along North Avenue, 1st Street, 7th Street, and 12th Street in Grand Junction. The project also provided fiber optic links to local government agencies, including City Parks and Mesa County Human services. Splicing details for the new fiber optic network were developed to maximize efficiency and provide for future expansion. The project utilizes Self-Healing Ring Fiber Optic Transceivers, integrating the new traffic signals on multiple channels with the existing signal system and providing redundancy in case of a fiber break in the field. The City retained our services for construction administration to ensure the project remained on schedule and within budget.
