Douglas County Video Distribution System

Apex Design led the preparation of a comprehensive communication design and infrastructure needs assessment for the both the Douglas County Department of Public Works and the Sheriff’s Office. The Video Distribution System provides for the viewing and control of Douglas County’s traffic surveillance Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras. In addition, both the Douglas County Department of Public Works and Sheriff’s Office will have prioritized viewing and control access to all of CDOT’s statewide traffic surveillance CCTV cameras and other local agency traffic surveillance CCTV cameras connected to CDOT. This system utilizes strategically deployed server and clients running the Camera Cameleon software along with the addition of specific communication network equipment and cabling infrastructure.
